Dr. Cheshire is a sensitive and skilled therapist who served as a pastor for over thirty years. Jim counsels children, individuals, couples and families and leads Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Groups (DBT). He enjoys helping people move towards personal wholeness and more effective relationships.
Jim specializes in working with people in ministry and has a commitment to treatment of their particular needs from his vast pastoral experience. He also has specialized training in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and the treatment of sexual addiction. In his public speaking, he addresses topics such as stress, depression, marriage and family, life transitions, and communication.
Dr. Cheshire earned the Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, Florida and the Master of Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
