PSYCHOLOGICAL TESTING

Qualified examiners at Eden Counseling Center utilize a variety of widely used and researched tests to provide the most thorough, precise assessment for each individual. Psychological tests are scientific instruments that have been constructed to help us understand more about an individual's personality, skills, and ways of coping. Tests are also used to identify emotional, behavioral, or developmental disorders such as:

• Depression
• Memory or Attention Problems
• Learning Disabilities

A comprehensive and reliable psychological evaluation identifies strengths and weaknesses, learning style, and current levels of intellectual and personality functioning.

The testing itself usually takes part in 3 individual sessions. They are:

• Diagnostic Interview - a 45 min. session that determines which tests would be best for the particular individual.
• Testing - We have a wide variety of scientifically proven tests that may be given. The tests themselves are computerized, verbal or written.
• Results - a 45 min. session with a psychologist to review in detail the results from the given tests.
